The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) oversees a statewide system of supports and services for people with developmental disabilities and their families. DODD does this by developing services that ensure an individual’s health and safety, encourage participation in the community, increase opportunities for meaningful employment, and provide residential services and support from early childhood through adulthood.
DSP Ohio
DSPOhio is a unique, statewide DSP (Direct Support Professional) recruitment effort that combines targeted multi-media advertising to brand the term DSP with an on-line DSPOhio job-site that connects potential employees with developmental disability provider employers.

The DSP Directory makes it simple for Provider Agencies to find qualified DSP's and easily contact them to begin the interview process. The DSP Directory also assists people interested in becoming a Direct Support Professional with the certification process.
Provider Guide Plus.com is a website for families, guardians and people with developmental disabilities to find information, read anonymous reviews and search for agency providers in Ohio.
Ohio Provider Resource Association (OPRA)
As a statewide association of service providers, OPRA is a leader in efforts to collaboratively build a statewide service system that meets the needs of its ultimate customers: Ohioans with developmental disabilities. Currently, OPRA's membership consists of more than 125 organizations, both for-profit and not-for-profit, providing services to more than 15,000 Ohioans with developmental disabilities. OPRA represents approximately 70% of the state's community-based providers.
Fisher-Titus Medical Center Pediatric Specialty Clinics
Fisher-Titus Medical Center offers pediatric specialty clinics in a broad range of areas. The Pediatric Development Clinic provides medical and developmental screenings to ensure early identification of children from birth through age 5 who may be at risk for developmental delay; Akron Children's Hospital Specialty Care at Fisher-Titus offers cardiology, genetics, neurology, orthopedic and pulmonary care services.

Technology Guide for People with Disabilities
This guide was developed as a way of supporting many differently-abled students to get by in school or at work. Care givers, teachers and anyone working with people with a range of conditions under the disability umbrella will definitely find this guide helpful. It contains an overview of the more common types of disabilities and a comprehensive list of apps and software programs appropriate for each type.
Residential Options Counseling
The budget bill created ORC 5126.047, which is a new section about residential services. This section requires the county board to inform any person who inquires about the different programs offered as residential services, including intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities services and home and community-based services.
The Board shall also do the following:
1. Provide the person or family members with a copy of the Residential Options Counseling Pamphlet. This pamphlet explains both ICF services and HCBS waiver services.
2. Assist the person in accessing the vacancy registry. http://providersearch.dodd.ohio.gov/.
3. If a person or family member expresses interest in ICF services, the county board shall provide contact information for all ICFs in the county and contiguous counties. Information on how to access DODD's map of all ICFs in the state of Ohio.
