The staff members at the Huron County Board of Developmental Disabilities are focused on the well-being of the individuals we support, throughout all stages of their lives.
We understand that a person’s physical, mental and emotional health each play an important role in maintaining a fulfilled and balanced life—and if the body isn’t fed the right kind of fuel, or given the right amount of exercise, that well-being just might be at risk.
HCBDD’s Wellness Connections classes aim to reduce that risk and promote better overall health. Our nurse educator and community integration staff will work with groups of individuals (and their caregivers, if appropriate) to provide information on healthy cooking, shopping, meal planning, physical activities and more, with a goal of making learning fun.
One-on-one consultation is also available by request, and suggestions for classes and topics of interest are always welcome!
